The Major Gifts Officer is a full-time, salaried position that will join a team of fundraising professionals responsible for meeting the overall major gifts fundraising goals of the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust. Responsibilities include direct solicitation of gifts of $10,000 and higher, managing a portfolio of major gift prospects, creating, or enhancing relationships with current and prospective donors, and coordinating planned giving efforts. This individual will conduct donor prospect research and analysis, with regular reporting on donor identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
Applicants should have at least five years of fundraising experience that includes working with major individual donors and growing an annual giving program. Prior experience with major gifts program management and securing five figure gifts is preferred. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding communications skills and comfort level with making solicitations. This individual should be confident and effective when interfacing with senior corporate executives, major individual donors, and the public. Bachelor’s degree is required as well as the ability to travel locally and attend events with evening or weekend hours as needed. The salary range for this position starts at $75,000.
